2nd Through 12th Grade Mandatory Scantron Testing

To Our BOSS Families,

This year Buckeye On-Line School for Success will be requiring all students from Grades 2-12 to take a baseline and follow-up assessment in Reading and Math via the Scantron Performance Series. This will help our school meet the "Value Added" Law requirements.

We would appreciate your cooperation. This test will be very beneficial for you and your child. The data that this test will provide will help us analyze our students' strengths and weaknesses on an individual basis and use that information to better serve you throughout the school year. To show our appreciation, each student that completes the test will receive a $5 McDonald's Gift Card. However, failure to complete the test in a timely manner could possibly lead to disciplinary action.

We would ask all of our returning families to please complete the test before January 31st, 2008. Incoming families should complete the test within seven days of receiving your computer. We would ask that the students take the tests without assistance from friends or family members. We need a true reading on the students' strengths and weaknesses and cannot get that if the student receives help.

To access the tests, please go to http://www.edperformance.com and follow these directions.

1. Please type the link found above in a new webpage. Make sure that pop-up blocker is turned off.
2. Choose begin math or begin reading.
   Feel free to start with the one you are more comfortable with.
3. School id: 85-5853-1344
4. Username: Student ID # (Similar to Blackboard, but do not use the letters)
5. Password: First initial, Last initial
