2008 ‘I have better things to do’ Poster contest
Contest Rules:
1. Artwork should reflect the theme “I Have Better Things To Do”. This phrase must appear somewhere on the poster.
2. The theme should be depicted using one or a combination of mediums, such as: acrylics, watercolor, pencil, pen, charcoal, magic markers, spray paint, crayons, pastels, etc.
3. The finished poster should be at least 8 ½ X 11 in size
4. The poster must be submitted with a completed application which includes a description of the poster and a brief biography of the artist.
5. Posters are to be submitted by 12 p.m. on Friday May 9, 2008 to:

6. We ask that all the artwork and application information be the original artwork of the BOSS student. We want to see art from the student’s own imagination, please.
Judging Criteria:
1. Complete contest rules must be followed for all levels of competition. Incomplete packages will not be able to be judged.
2. Artwork will be judged on: originality of design, reflection of the contest theme, use of color and materials.
3. Written applications will be judged on: level of understanding of the subject, clarity, grammar, and syntax appropriate to the age level.
The age categories will be broken into the following groups: K-2; 3-5; 6-8; 9-12. There will be a first, second, third place for each age category; and participation awards for everyone student entry.
